Jesus Ochosa Cayaban, 96, of Honolulu, a founding member of the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, died Nov. 22 in Kapiolani Medical Center. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by son Dante, sister Natividad Shumaker, two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Services: 4:30 p.m. Thursday at Aldersgate United Methodist Church.

Gayle Tomiko Gonzales, 47, of Kaneohe, an accounting representative for the Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, died Monday in Kaiser Medical Center. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by husband Raymond "Chico" J.; sons Sheldon M., James A.H. and Jason A.H.; parents Motoku and Asano Yahiku; brother Michael M. Yahiku; sisters Joan F. Batula and Sandy M. Furumori; and two granddaughters. Services: 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Call after 5:30 p.m. Aloha attire. Inurnment at a later date.

Nobuko Hirai, 75, of Honolulu, a retired employee for C.R. Newton Co., died Dec. 11. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by son George; daughter Lorna Katayama; brothers Tadaso, Toshiaki and Albert Tsuda; sisters Chiyuko Chong and Misuko Dickerson; and four grandchildren. Services: 10:30 a.m. next Saturday at St. Andrew's Cathedral. Call after 10 a.m. Inurnment: Oahu Cemetery. No flowers. Donations suggested to St. Andrew's Cathedral.

Laurie Johnston, 87, of Honolulu, a former journalist for the New York Times, Newsweek and the Honolulu Advertiser, will be remembered in private services. She died Dec. 7. She is survived by daughters Dana Meredith Johnston and Elisa Whitfield Johnston, and a grandaughter. Donations suggested to the Nation (weekly magazine), New York.

Fusako Kawamoto, also known as "Machan" and "Beatrice," 88, of Kaneohe died Dec. 11. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son James Y.; daughter Ethel T.; brothers Robert, Richard and Wallace Takeda; and sister Leatrice Masuda. Private services.

Paul Isamu Kishimoto, 52, of Aiea, owner of A.P.K. Enterprise, died Nov. 21. He was born in Paiea, Maui. He is survived by wife Darlee-Anne, daughter Ashlee, parents Betty and Kiyoshi, and brother Michael. Private services.

Christian Kaliko Lovell, 67, Anahola, Kauai, a diver, died Wednesday in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in Anahola. He is survived by brother Castro; sisters Katherine Rivera, Jennie "Loke" Pereira, Diane Ociley, Priscilla Nagallanes and Alvina Mills; and hanai children Violet Coito, Viola Lovell and Seena Azevedo. Florence Arruda Lucas, 82, of Hilo, a homemaker, died Tuesday in Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Hilo. Cora "Jean" Lund, of Hawaii, formerly of Massachusetts and California, died Dec. 13 in Kaiser Medical Center. She was born in Boston. She is survived by many friends.

Misao Takushi, 85, of Kaneohe, a homemaker, died last Saturday in Castle Medical Center. She was born in Papaloa, Hawaii. She is survived by sister Tsuruko Ishikawa and numerous nieces and nephews. Private services.

Juana Agoo Tanicala, 96, of Puhi, Kauai, a homemaker, died Thursday in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. She was born in the Philippines. She is survived by daughters Josefe Florentino, Catalina Espiritu, Ursula Aguda and Petra Peralta; sons Vicenta, Rogelio, Virgilio and Eusebio Tanicala; brothers Johnny and Ciriaco Agoo; 31 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. Bertha Petro Wong, 71, formerly of Kailua, owner of Wong's Auto Shop, died Monday in New York. She was born in Waialua. She is survived by son Scott Wong, daughters Bonnie Steele and Carla Wong, brother Alfred Kauiho and five grandchildren. Services over ashes: 5 p.m. Friday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary.
