Collectible accesories

To commemorate the European transition from national currencies to the multinational Euro, Celine is introducing a new line of accessories featuring coins from 12 countries scheduled to become obsolete on Jan. 1, 2002, and therefore collectible.

A handbag (Le Sac, $830), belt (Le Ceinture, $400) and coin pouch (La Pochette, $180) will be graced with the French franc, Germany's deutschmark, Austria's schilling, the Belgian franc, Spain's pesetas, Finland's markka, Greece's dragmas, Italy's Lire, the Luxembourg Franc, the Irish pound, the Netherlands' florins, and Portugal's escudos.

Both Le Sac and La Ceinture will feature the complete range of 12 coins from 12 countries, set in chocolate-colored calf leather with white top-stitching for a modern, graphic look.

Each Pochette will feature one of the 12 countries, each created in a different color leather representing the country. Zippers will have the nations' flags rendered in durable enamel.

For more information, call the Celine boutique at 971-8425.

Traditional or modern?

Bobbi Brown Global Makeup Artist Cynde Watson will be back at Neiman Marcus Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 to offer one-on-one consultations on the best holiday looks for you.

She'll also answer your makeup questions, whether you need to know how to make under-eye circles disappear after partying all night, or how to create special occasion looks worthy of an Oscar night spotlight.

Bobbi Brown is featuring three holiday looks:

>> Traditional elegance: Smooth, creamy skin glows with light shimmer. Eyes are defined, but not overly made up as deep ruby-colored lips accent the face.

>> Modern glamour: Envision disco, updated. Standout lashes, shimmery lids and frosted lips don't have to be frightening. With the right touch, it's contemporary and cool.

>> Deep drama: Strong, smoky eyes are matched by lips that shine with color.

Watson will be in the store from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days to share tips. Appointments are being taken at the Bobbi Brown counter. Call 948-7580.
