Shots fired as 2 groups of
men face off after fight

Police are investigating a shooting last night in Waipio Gentry following a fight the night before between two groups of men.

Police said a the 10 p.m. shooting involved about 10 men in two Hondas and two motorcycles and another group of about 10 men along Nanilihilihi Street near Waipio Neighborhood Park.

The men in the cars and motorcycles drove past the other group of men in their 20s and exchanged obscenities and challenges, police said.

One man got out of a Honda and fired five shots, which did not hit anyone, according to a police report.

The two groups of men had been involved in a fight the previous night in the same area, police said.
