Ruth Aiko Abe, 77, of Honolulu, a retired textile designer for Fruit of the Loom, Bates and VIP Fabrics in New York City, died Oct. 22. She was born in Wahiawa. She is survived by husband Satoru, daughter Gail Goto, brothers Yukio and Ernest Tanji, sister Hisako Arinaga and two grandsons. Private services.

Marcelo Ilac Cenal, 99, of Waianae, a retired employee for C&H Sugar Co., died Oct. 10. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by wife Roseline; son Bernard; daughters Violet Rodrigues, Catherine Railsback, Frances "Frenchie" Ako and Rose Scott; and numerous grandchildren and great- and great-great-grandchildren. Robert Takeshi Ibaraki, 84, of Honolulu, a retired sales representative for Wong's Meat Co., died Thursday in Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu.
