The draft for Saturday's Midnight Ohana basketball game was held in Hawaii coach Riley Wallace's office yesterday afternoon.

KFVE-TV broadcasters Jim Leahey and Artie Wilson will coach the Green team, aided by assistant Jackson Wheeler. The White team will be coached by KCCN radio broadcasters Bobby Curran and Jeff Portnoy, helped by assistant Scott Rigot.

Yesterday's draft had quite a bit of good-natured barbs being thrown across the table. The White coaches won the toss but deferred the first pick.

The Green chose senior guard Predrag Savovic first. The All-America candidate has been on the winning team both of his previous seasons.

The White chose sophomore guard Carl English and then sophomore center Haim Shimonovich. The draft continued until all 16 players were chosen.

The draft picks, in order:

Green: 1. Predrag Savovic, 2. Mark Campbell, 3. Mindaugas Burneika, 4. Paul Jesinskis, 5. Tony Akpan, 6. Joshua Stanhiser, 7. Lance Takaki, 8. Dan Pickart.

White: 1. Carl English, 2. Haim Shimonovich, 3. Phil Martin, 4. Mike McIntyre, 5. Luc-Arthur Vebobe, 6. Milos Zivanovic, 7. Ryne Holliday, 8. Wade Butler.
