Three tally 72s to share
Senior Open lead

Dean Prince of Maui, Dan Nishimoto of Kauai and Carl Matthews Sr. of Oahu share the opening round lead at the Ohana Hearing Care Senior Open.

All three shot even-par 72 at the Hawaii Prince Golf Club. Matthews posted six birdies while Nishimoto carded three birdies and an eagle. Prince had a more consistent round with two birdies and mostly pars.

Francis Olena Jr. of Mililani shot a two over par 74 to take the early lead in the amateur competition.

Stubblefield beats Acia; O'Neal-Hayashi to meet

Larry Stubblefield captured the senior division of the Aloha Section PGA match play championship.

He advanced through the eight person tournament that began Monday by defeating Rodney Acia six and four yesterday.

Kevin Hayashi and Todd O'Neal play today in the championship. O'Neal won 1-up against Brendan Moynahan and Hayashi beat Andrew Feldman 4 and 3.

Rosen tops Mid-Amateur sectional in 2 playoffs

Marc Rosen birdied the second hole of a playoff to win the United States Mid-Amateur sectional.

Three players from neighbor islands were unable to make the trip due to airport shutdowns.

Na Leo Pilimehana to perform at Ko'olau

Na Leo Pilimehana will perform at the Ko'olau Golf Club Friday. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the concert begins at 8.
