AMERICA ATTACKED

Church services

Churches across the island were planning services to offer prayers for our nation, our leaders and families of those who lost loved ones in the World Trade Center and Pentagon attacks.

"Our nation and the world was rudely awakened today by another occurrence of violence of such enormous proportions," said Kahu James Fung, senior pastor of Kawaiahao Church.

"But our nation has survived many attacks upon our freedom. Each time we have come together in a spirit of unity and we not only survive - we prevail. We shall persevere and reveal the metal of our character - with God as our strength."
