Hawaii's Own

Benny Agbayani, Mets: The St. Louis and Hawaii Pacific alumnus was 1-for-3 in New York's 5-2 win over Colorado and former Met pitcher Mike Hampton. Agbayani walked once, struck out once and singled to center in the fifth.

He is now batting .278 for the year. He hasn't had an extra-base hit since Aug. 3 and hasn't homered since July 28.

Mike Fetters, Pirates: The Iolani graduate picked up his fourth save of the year against NL-West leading Arizona in Pittsburgh's 4-2 victory.

Fetters needed just 15 pitches in the ninth inning to retire the side. He walked pinch hitter Dellucci with one out, but followed by striking out Damian Miller and getting pinch hitter Colbrunn to fly out to right field to end the game.

Three of Fetters' four saves this season have come with the Pirates. He has pitched 5-2/3 innings in August, giving up three runs. He has averaged 16 pitches in his eight August outings -- with a high of 28 and a low of one.

Chris Truby, Astros: The Damien product did not play in Houston's 8-2 win over Philadelphia. Since being called up last week, Truby has appeared in just one game, and did not get a hit in his only at-bat.
