S&W Orchids Inc. President Stanley Watanabe displays some
of his 15 varieties of orchids yesterday at the Made in Hawaii
Festival at the Blaisdell Center. Each year Watanabe attends
and displays at six major orchid shows on the mainland. His
9-year-old Waianae company exports to the mainland and to
Puerto Rico. The festival is open until 9 tonight, 10 a.m. to
9 p.m. tomorrow and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission
is $2, with half-price coupons available at
First Hawaiian Bank branches.

Applicants crowd into a reception area to apply for jobs at new restaurant
Dave & Buster's. General Manager Sean McCullough, rear, hosted a job
fair yesterday at the company's offices in the IBM building on Auahi
Street to fill as many as 340 full- and part-time positions. The
entertainment-themed restaurant is scheduled to open
Oct. 3 in Ward Entertainment Center.
