Deb Michaels, a member of the women's group Try
Fitness, experienced the ups and downs of dodgeball
yesterday at Kakaako Waterfront Park. The group is
participating in a 12-week program that includes running,
walking, hiking, swimming, calisthenics and games.

It was summer loving for Kevin Diga of Honolulu
and Junko Suganuma of Yokohama, Japan, as they
took in the sunset yesterday evening from the rock
piles at Kakaako Waterfront Park.



Schofield soldiers return from
6 months in the Sinai

Physicians assistant Keith Powell kissed his son, Ethan,
after returning to Schofield Barracks yesterday. Ethan
was born while Powell and 200 other soldiers were in
the Sinai in the Middle East for six months with the
1st Battalion, 21st Infantry.

Sgt. 1st class Rubin Sharpless hugged his
daughter, Nia, yesterday as he and 200 other
of the 1st Battalion, 21st infantry returned
home to Schofield Barracks after six
months in the Sinai Peninsula.
