Star-Bulletin staff

The Honolulu Star-Bulletin has named Paul Arnett sports editor.

Arnett has been an award-winning reporter with the Star-Bulletin for 11 years, primarily responsible for covering University of Hawaii athletics and writing a column.

Before coming to the Star-Bulletin, Arnett was at the Las Vegas Sun.

He also has worked at the San Angelo (Texas) Standard-Times and the Galveston (Texas) Daily News.

Arnett, 46, is a 1977 graduate of Texas A&M University.

He will succeed Cindy Luis, who elected to step down as sports editor. She will remain in the department.
