Races

JAMBA Juice Mountainman Triathlon: 8 a.m. Saturday from Waimea Falls Park. Traffic will be stopped on Kamehameha Highway.

parade

Annual Gay/Lesbian Pride Parade: 10 a.m. Saturday from Ala Moana Beach Park; enter Ala Moana Boulevard from the Roosevelt Gates, proceeding through Waikiki to the Waikiki Shell parking lot.

Street closures

The H-1 freeway will be closing in the following locations Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.:

>> Piikoi onramp, eastbound, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.

>> Punahou offramp, right lane, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., barrier and drainage work.

>> Punahou overpass, right lane, makai-bound, 24 hours a day, barrier work and utility relocation.

>> Bingham Street offramp, Tuesday, paving work.

>> University onramp, makai-bound to freeway westbound, Wednesday, paving work.

>> King Street onramp to freeway eastbound, Wednesday, paving work.

>> Harding and Kapahulu avenues, lane closures and detours, 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., seismic retrofit work.

>> Harding Avenue, closed between Kapahulu Avenue and Kapiolani Boulevard, Tuesday.

>> Between Punahou overpass and Kapiolani interchange, lane, shoulder and ramp closures, guardrail work.

>> McCully and Beretania, Bingham and Farrington, Lunalilo and Piikoi, Lunalilo and Pensacola intersections for traffic signal work and ADA curb ramp improvements.

>> Between Pali overpass and Kapiolani interchange and surrounding surface streets, sidewalk, lane, ramp and shoulder closures for guardrail work, ADA and traffic signal improvements.

>> Between Koko Head overpass and Pali overpass, lane, ramp or shoulder closures.

The state Department of Transportation advises motorists to drive with caution through the work or to take alternate routes.
