Funeral services for former Office of Hawaiian Affairs trustee Abraham Aiona Sr. were set for Wednesday on Maui and Friday in Honolulu.

Aiona, 75, was also a Maui County police chief and Maui County councilman. He died Thursday in Waimanalo.

Born in Honolulu, he is survived by sons Rodney Katayama, Abe Jr., Jeffrey, George and Leonard; hanai daughter Dr. Ellen Carringer; sister Helen Cockett; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services: 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Ballard Family Mortuary in Maui and noon Friday at St. George's Catholic Church in Waimanalo. Call after 5 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. Friday. Committal service: 2 p.m. at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery in Kaneohe. Aloha attire.
