Breakfast Cookery: Learn to make frittatas, crepes, eggs Benedict, omelets, scones and coffee cake from Dave Calvan, chef of the former Angelo Pietro restaurant in Kapahulu, 6 p.m. tomorrow, Kapiolani Community College. Cost is $25. Call 734-9441.

Royal Recipes: Chefs from the Royal Hawaiian Hotel teach the making of two Surf Room favorites, Kumu Papillote with Sake Miso Broth and Pan-Roasted Onaga, noon Friday at Williams Sonoma in Ala Moana. Executive chef Alfred Cabacungan and executive sous chef Warren Uchida will offer samples and recipes. The free demonstration is part of a series at the store featuring Sheraton hotel chefs. Chefs of the Future: Kapiolani Community College's hands-on cooking classes for ages 7 to 17 continue with sessions on chicken dishes, 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday. Cost is $15 for the morning session and $17 for the afternoon; parents may attend free. Call 734-9441.

Salads and Sweets: The Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii offers two cooking classes next week. Learn salad and dressing making, June 27; and scratch cookie and cake baking, June 28. Both classes take place at 10 a.m., and the cost is $25 each. Call 734-9457.

A Romantic Dinner for Two: Chef Andy Nelson teaches the making of an intimate five-course meal in a hands-on class, 6 p.m. June 28, Kapiolani Community College. Call 734-9441.
