Big Island’s Cyanotech
takes massive jump

Cyanotech Corp.'s stock, apparently ignited by positive comments from the company's chief financial officer, soared 20.75 percent this week to trounce 13 other Hawaii-based companies in the Bloomberg Honolulu Star-Bulletin index.

His comments about expected profitability and optimism about product tests sent the biotech stock to a six-month high and ran its year-to-date gain to 63.8 percent.
