Helen Kikuyo Awaya, 101, of Honolulu, formerly of Kohala, Hawaii, and Redondo Beach, Calif., a homemaker, died May 3 in the Oahu Care Facility. She was born in Kapaau, North Kohala, Hawaii. She is survived by son Ben, daughters Mary Awaya and Agnes Fujimoto, eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Private services.

George Horatio Piko "Keoki" Bailey, 78, of Honolulu, a retired employee with the state Bureau of Conveyances, died Saturday. She was born in Honolulu. Trason A. Basconis Sr., 71, of Richmond, Calif., formerly of Hawaii, a retired mess sergeant with the U.S. Army, died May 9 in Richmond. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by wife Conception "Connie"; daughters Yolanda Basconis, Liz Perez and Debbie Reaves; brothers Larry and William; sisters Nora Bernardo, Irene Chee, Saring Fujii and Betty Ikeda; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Anthony "Tony" J. Camara III, 52, of Kaneohe, a former Grayline tour bus driver, died Saturday in Kailua. He was born in Honolulu. Kana Higa, 99, of Waipahu, a retired employee with Del Monte Cannery, died Friday at home. She was born on Okinawa. She is survived by sons David, Alfred "Mitsuo," Harry and Reginald; daughters Grace Bush, Ruth Yukie Oshiro, Lillian Yamashiro and Alice Sur; 30 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Reynaldo Lorenzo, 89, of Kealakehe, Kona, a retired coffee, mac nut and poultry farmer, died May 7 in Keauhou Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was born in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, the Philippines. He is survived by wife Flora; sons Ernesto, Juanita and Leonard; daughters Ada Niino, Rosita Dalit, Pacita Agbanlog, Carmen Conn and Rose McKee; 33 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Edward Ibarra Lucero Sr., 90, of Wahiawa, a retired bus dispatcher, died Monday. He was born in Camiling, Tarlac, the Philippines. Egidio Furagganan "Edio" Maddagan, 67, of Honolulu, a salesman with San Miguel Corp. and retiree from Duty Free Shop in Waikiki, died May 3. He was born in Aparri, Cagayan, the Philippines. He is also survived by father Bernardino Lim. The family provided incorrect information for an obituary published Sunday.

Violet Ladia Quadra, 70, of Waipahu died Monday in Tripler Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph. She is survived by daughters Theresa, Marla Mahelona and Germaine Arakawa; sons Philip and Roderick Quadra; seven grandchildren; brothers Louis Ladia, Bobby, Jerry and Dickie Ramos; and sisters Lillian Pang and Patsy Miguel. Agnes Coelho Smythe, 93, of Kailua-Kona, a retired teacher, died May 10 in Kona Community Hospital. She was born in South Kona. Ada Viola Kaiakawakawaakaahumanu Tsuji, 62, of Honolulu died Tuesday in Queen's Medical Center. She was born in Waialua. She is survived by husband Kenneth, sons Albert and Stanley, daughters Laurie Kauleinamoku and Myra Taum, brothers John and Hubert Fernandez, sisters Hyenie Weed-Sato and Johnrae Christian, hanai sister Betty Manaois and five grandchildren. Fusako Imamura Uchida, 78, of Wahiawa died May 9. He was born in Kuliouou. He is survived by sons Ralph and Roland; daughters Patricia Uchida and Kathryn Tancayo; sisters Evelyn Correa, Sumiko "Suzie" Wong and Akiko Odagiri; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Private services were held.

Arline L. Weyand, 86, of Honolulu died Monday in Honolulu. She was born in Healdsburg, Calif. She is survived by husband Fred, son Robert, daughters Carolyn Harley and Nancy Hart, and six grandchildren. Memorial services: 3 p.m. Sunday at Fort DeRussy Chapel. No flowers. Donations suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.

Marciano Yalap, 37, of Hilo died Sunday in Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Aimeliik, Palau. He is survived by mother Ongerool; brothers James M., Elia and Jonathan; and sisters Brenda Adelbai, Linda Iyar and Della and Grace Yalap. Services will be held in Palau.
