Recipe prepared by Charles Dwyer, general manger of California Pizza Kitchen, on "Hawaii's Kitchen." The show airs at 5:30 p.m. Sundays on KHON/Fox.

BBQ Chicken Chopped Salad

3 cups chopped salad greens
1/2 cup Monterey jack cheese
1/4 cup rinsed, drained black beans
1/4 cup sweet white corn kernels
1/2 cup jicama strips (1/4 inch by 3/4 inch)
3/4 cup fried corn tortilla strips
2 teaspoon chopped fresh cilantro
4 ounces prepared ranch dressing
>> Garnishes:
3/4 cup diced tomatoes
3/4 cup fried corn tortilla strips
4 ounces diced grilled BBQ chicken
2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
1 teaspoon chopped scallion greens
1/6 wedge lime

Toss all ingredients together, except garnishes and place in the center of the plate. Place diced tomatoes in a ring around the salad. Cover salad with tortilla strips up to the tomato border. Spread chicken pieces over the top. Squiggle BBQ sauce over the chicken; sprinkle scallion greens over that. Serve with lime wedge.
