This list of films opening this weekend runs Tuesdays:

>> A Knight's Tale -- A contemporary American take on a medieval European tale of a peasant squire who takes up the identity of his master when the knight suffers an untimely demise. While this movie doesn't strive the least bit for authenticity, it makes up for it in wit and humor. Written and directed by Brian Helgelund ("L.A. Confidential") and starring Heath Ledger.

>> The Night Marchers -- In a local take on "The Blair Witch Project," five members of a documentary crew travel to Waipio Valley on the Big Island in search of a legend. Blake and Brett Cousins's movie has done well on the Big Island and Maui, and makes its Oahu premiere Friday at Restaurant Row.
