Wahine volleyball opener vs. Nebraska

The University of Hawaii women's volleyball team will open the season on Aug. 24 against defending national champion Nebraska at the State Farm Women's Classic in Stockton, Calif.

The contest is a rematch of last December's NCAA Tournament semifinal won by the Cornhuskers. Also in the tournament at the Spanos Center are Wisconsin and host Pacific.

The championship and consolation matches are scheduled for Aug. 26. The semifinal highlights are tentatively scheduled to be broadcast on a delayed basis on ESPN2 on Aug. 25 with the championship broadcast on Aug. 27.

Rally scoring will be used.
