Donald "Don" Andrus, 65, of Kapaa, Kauai, a retired college professor of electronic music at California State University-Long Beach, died April 15 in Hale Omao. He was born in Seattle. He is survived by wife "G.G." Shanley, son Carlin S. and brother Rodney. Private services.

Pablo "Paul" Lapenia Bongolan, 90, of Waipahu, a retired groundskeeper from Camp H.M. Smith, died March 27. He was born in Santiago, Ilocos Sur, the Philippines. He is survived by wife Andrea, son Wayne, daughter Delia-Ann Idica, sister Arsenia Garcia and four grandchildren. Mass: 7 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church. Irene Koko Bugarin, 58, of Waianae, died Thursday. She was born in Honolulu. Daisy Alama Chong, 86, of Honolulu, a retired Kaiser Hospital secretary, died April 15. She was born in Honolulu. Gabby-Slater Canumay Cortez, infant son of Jonathan C. and Leilani K., died last Tuesday in Queen's Medical Center. Hattie May Miller, 78, of Keaau, Hawaii, and formerly of Honolulu, a retired supervisor for Scott Morgan Real Estate Co. in Honolulu, died Friday in Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Honolulu. She is survived by son Walter P.; daughters Leinaala Ho, Juanita Sanders, Diana P.K. Miller and Barbara Sturrup; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Takeo Nishi, 67, of Hilo, a retired carpenter for Isemoto Contracting Co., died April 16 at home. He was born in Osaka, Japan. Isabella "Bella" Vidinha Pavao, 78, of Ewa Beach, who retired from Elliotte's Coffee Shop, died April 12. She was born in Kalaheo, Kauai.
