>> Lester Stiefel has been named vice president and human resources manager at Bank of Hawaii. He is responsible for developing and implementing a new relationship management group within the corporation's human resources division. Stiefel was previously employed at Cheap Tickets Inc. where he was vice president of human resources.

>> Verizon Hawaii named Ann Nishida media relations manager and company spokeswoman. Prior to joining Verizon, Nishida was the public relations officer and spokeswoman for Straub Clinic & Hospital.

>> Steven Ngo has been named technology coordinator at Parents and Children Together. He will be responsible for overseeing PACT's computer network and providing technical support to 12 programs and PACT administration. Ngo was formerly in technical support at First Hawaiian Bank.

PROMOTIONS

>> Ray Liu has been promoted from general manager, relief, to general manager of Tanaka of Tokyo East. Liu brings more than 25 years of restaurant experience to the King's Village location. Liu was formerly with Spencecliff and HTH Corp.
