Bulldogs slam Vulcans

Bob Runyon scattered three hits and Fresno State shelled three Hawaii-Hilo pitchers for 15 hits as the Bulldogs routed the Vulcans, 11-1, in a Western Athletic Conference baseball game last night at Wong Stadium.

Hilo's run came when Keola Park doubled and later scored on Bryce Watanabe's single.

Runyon (5-0) picked up the complete-game victory, striking out 12 and walking one. Ben Siff (1-5) took the loss.

Hilo (5-27, 3-17 WAC) and Fresno State (26-16, 10-9) meet again tonight at 6 at Hilo.
