Two men suspected of tying and gagging a Punaluu couple, ransacking their home and taking their cars are in custody.

A 17-year-old sought by police since the April 5 home invasion turned himself in to Kaneohe police yesterday. He was arrested on robbery and kidnapping charges.

The other suspect, arrested about four hours after the robbery, was indicted yesterday by an Oahu grand jury.

Warren Elicker, 23, was charged with five counts of kidnapping, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and auto theft.

Elicker is also charged in an unrelated carjacking at Ala Moana Center March 31. A preliminary hearing on those charges is set for April 16.

Elicker and the teen allegedly entered the home by distracting the man. They threatened him with a crowbar then bound and gagged him and did the same to his wife when she arrived a short time later, according to court documents.

Before leaving, they told the woman that if she called police, they would kill them, according to the documents.

Elicker was located in Kahaluu but jumped into the ocean when police approached. Paddlers helped police catch him.

District Judge Russell Blair ordered Elicker yesterday to stay away from the victims in both cases. Elicker isbeing held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
