Lawrence "Jack" Douglas Ackerman Jr., 76, of Kailua-Kona, a retired salesman for Household and Automotive Paint Wholesale Co., died March 30 in Keauhou Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by sons Douglas III and William, brother Warren, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorial services: 2 p.m. Saturday at Honaunau Beach Boat Ramp. May "Babe" K. Awong, 63, of Maili died Thursday in St. Francis Medical Center. She was born in Waianae. She is survived by daughters Edwena Kamohali'i, Brenda Ali, Bridget Awong and Bonnie Kabisch; son Edward Jr.; brother Walter Aldeguer; sister Osana Cullen; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Gregory Dennis Final, 52, of Pahoa, Hawaii, a self-employed roofer, died Thursday in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was born in Long Beach, Calif. Tadashi Fukushima, 88, of Haiku, Maui, a retired fire chief of Maui County, died Saturday in Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was also a mason. He was born in Puunene, Maui. He is survived by wife Yoshie, son George, daughter Doris Takeuchi, brothers Tsuruo and Dick, sister Namiko Nakagawa, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Charles C. Ha'o Jr., 61, of Hilo, a proprietor of Max Dynamic Plumbing, died Saturday in Hilo Medical Center. He was born in Honolulu.
