I got your newspaper
right here...

It's no news that the new Star-Bulletin has been plagued by circulation and delivery issues. Some of it has been our fault, some due to miscommunication and some just plain mishap. We are correcting the problems.

In all the fuss, there has been one edition of the Star-Bulletin that hasn't missed a beat in delivering a daily dose of news about Hawaii: Starbulletin.com, the newspaper's Internet site.

Online since 1996, the Web site delivered its first Sunday edition this week and readership has been rising steadily. In the past seven days, the site has delivered 1.4 million page views or individual stories and columns to 57,000 online readers. The site logged nearly 6.7 million hits (or files delivered) in that period. Many of the online readers who can't get the daily newspaper turn to the Worldwide Web to stay connected. A majority are on the U.S. mainland or in the outlying areas of our state. But there are readers from around the world. A full 5 percent of last week's traffic was international. Konnichiwa!
