Fans advised to arrive
earlier at UH games

The anticipated strike by the University of Hawaii Professional Assembly could cause traffic problems for fans attending UH sporting events this week.

The delays would be caused by picket lines at all entrances to UH, including the lower campus parking structure. Fans are advised to plan for an earlier arrival so as not to miss the start of the game.

Additional parking is available in upper campus lots with a free shuttle service to lower campus athletic facilities.

English, Gonzales cited by Honolulu QB club

Carl English and Janelle Gonzales were named the Honolulu Quarterback Club Sportspersons of the Month for March yesterday.

English, a freshman guard on the University of Hawaii men's basketball team, was the MVP of the Western Athletic Conference Tournament after leading the Rainbows with 25 points in the title game victory over Tulsa on March 10.

Gonzales, a senior right-handed pitcher on the Wahine softball team, pitched a perfect game against McNeese State on March 23.
