robbery at Stadium Mall

No one was hit;
three suspects escape

Star-Bulletin

Police were looking for three men this morning after shots were fired during a robbery of the Alpha Video store at Stadium Mall in Salt Lake.

No one was hit by the gunfire, but one person refused treatment for minor injuries at the scene, police said.

Police and an ambulance were called to the scene at 8:45 a.m.

Witnesses said that workers from a nearby Goodyear store chased the suspects and tackled one of the men. Another armed suspect threatened the workers, who then released the man they were holding.

The suspects fled and then fired about seven shots at the Goodyear workers who continued to chase them.

Witnesses said the men drove off in a red Ford Explorer with tinted windows.
