Hanging On for Six Days

Cadet Christina Simms of Kaimuki High School forged ahead
Tuesday on the U.S. Army's Tarzan Obstacle Course. Simms
and some 1,200 isle teens are taking part in the Junior Reserve
Officers' Training Corps camp this week at Schofield Barracks.
Their trainers, Army National Guard and Marines, promised
rigorous adventures that build math, science and teamwork
skills. The six-day camp closes with a public ceremony
at 1 p.m. today at Area X.



Picnic at the Palace
