Seasiders No. 1
in tennis

The Brigham Young-Hawaii women's tennis team, the two-time defending NCAA Division II champions, continues to be ranked No. 1 in the latest ITA monthly rankings released yesterday.

The Seasiders, 22-0 this season, have won 89 consecutive matches. The University of Hawaii-Hilo (5-9) squad is at No. 15.

In the men's rankings, BYUH (19-1) moved up to No. 3 while Hawaii Pacific University (11-2) is ranked fifth.

Golden Gloves on tap

The Hawaii Golden Gloves Amateur Boxing Tournament of Champions will be held tomorrow through Saturday at Wahiawa District Park.

Boxing begins each night at 7 p.m. The division winners will advance to the national tournament, April 30-May 5, in Reno Nev.

General admission is $7, $5 for children ages 8-12. There is no charge for children 7 and younger.

All proceeds will go to defray travel expenses to Reno. For more information, call the Wahiawa Boxing Club at 621-6301.

Famed English Wing shooting instructor Jack Mitchell is offering clinics and private lessons at the Lanai Pine Sporting Clays course at The Lodge at Koele today through Saturday.
