NEW JOBS

>> First Hawaiian Bank has appointed new officers: Kevin E. Johnson, vice president and manager, Call Center; Mitch Kaaialii, personal banking officer, Kalihi Branch; Colleen R. Maeda, trust officer, Personal Trust Department; and Elizabeth P. Seitz, assistant vice president and personal banking officer, Kahului Branch.

>> Rosalie A. Romo has been named marketing assistant and Cherell T. Hane as direct marketing assistant for Hawaiian Host Inc. Romo will assist the marketing department, including advertising, public relations, brand development and sales support. Hane will assist with Web site and mail order catalog sales.

>> Daniel Hamada has rejoined Island Insurance Cos. as claim supervisor for auto appraisal and property. He originally joined the company in 1990, serving as a claim representative for seven years.

ON THE BOARD

>> Ralph C. Hook Jr. and Robert B. Robinson join Market City Ltd.'s board of directors. Hook serves as co-director of the Family Business Center of Hawaii. He was dean of the University of Hawaii at Manoa College of Business Administration from 1968 to 1974. Robert B. Robinson is a past President of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii. He was a founding director of Bank of Honolulu (now Bank of the Orient).
