road trip

The seventh-ranked University of Hawaii women's water polo team will try to break a two-match losing streak as the team heads to California for four matches.

The Wahine (12-3 overall, 1-2 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation) face Santa Clara at 10 a.m. Sunday then drive to San Jose State for an MPSF contest against the Spartans at 2 p.m.

On Monday, Hawaii is at UC Santa Cruz at 11 a.m. then travel to Stanford for a 7 p.m. MPSF match.

Kop junior golf benefit

The entry deadline for the 8th Guinea Kop Memorial Golf tournament at Pearl Country Club is March 28.

The three-person scramble, a benefit for the Oahu Junior Golf Association, has a 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. The fee is $425 per team ($260 tax deductible).
