HOUSTON -- Pitcher Kenny Baugh scattered six hits in seven innings to lead Rice to a 7-0 victory over the University of Hawaii-Hilo in a Western Athletic Conference baseball game yesterday at Reckling Park.

Jesse Roman had a double and three RBIs and Eric Arnold homered for the Owls (12-2, 2-0 WAC).

Keola Park doubled for the Vulcans (3-13, 2-6).

Hilo coach Joey Estrella was impressed with the performance of Baugh, saying Baugh is "one of the top collegiate pitchers over the last seven years."

HAWAII PACIFIC 11, GEORGE FOX 7: At Hans L'Orange Park, Tyrus Matsumoto cracked five of the Sea Warriors' 17 hits and Ryan Blood had three.

Hawaii Pacific (6-4) trailed, 6-5, before striking for six runs in the sixth inning, with Tom Peters' two-run triple the big blow. George Fox is 0-6.
