Ohara School of Ikebana



Take in ikebana
demonstration, exhibit

Liberty House Ala Moana will host an ikebana floral exhibit from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. tomorrow, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday in the special events room on the third floor.

Teachers from the Ohara School of Ikebana will demonstrate the art of ikebana floral arranging from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, and at noon Sunday on the fourth floor.

Juggling fest tonight

Hawaii's Volcano Circus presents the 16th annual Juggling Festival, with jugglers, clowns and comedy acts at 7:30 p.m. today at Camp Mokuleia, 68-729 Farrington Highway past Waialua. Look for the circus tent.

Admission is $12 for adults and $8 for children under 12.

Free musical jam in park

Kapena, Ho'onua, John Yamasato and others will headline the Hawaiian Style Backyard Jam at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Kaka'ako Park.

Others performing in the free concert are Koa'uka, Local Born, members of Wave Riders Against Drugs and Island Rhythm's Lanai and Augie.

The show marks Drug-Free Hawai'i Awareness Month, set up to focus on preventing substance abuse and seeking lasting solutions to drug problems.

There will be food, informational booths and other activities. Information: 545-3228.
