Shriners Hospital
needs helping hands

Honolulu Shriners Hospital, which provides free surgical and orthopedic care to children from Hawaii and around the Pacific, is looking for volunteers in a variety of areas.

The hospital needs clerical help in its physical therapy department and other areas of operations. It needs people willing to assist recreation therapy staff in arts and crafts, sports and games and cooking for patients. Volunteers are also need to maintain the hospital's inpatient garden.

A variety of shifts are available for the March to June service cycle. Applications are being accepted by Michele Suzuki.

A commitment of one shift a week for a minimum of four months is required. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and able to provide recent negative TB test results.
