A school bus driver's quick reaction is being credited with avoiding more serious injuries when an Army dump truck overturned on Kamehameha Highway in the path of a school bus with about 20 children aboard this morning.

The bus ran off the highway to avoid a collision.

The accident occurred on 57-0091 Kamehameha Highway, about a half a mile from the Sunset Beach side of Turtle Bay.
