In a game delayed because of a relocation to another gymnasium, Chaminade defeated Western New Mexico yesterday, 69-53.

The game started out at Chaminade's McCabe gymnasium on Waialae Avenue. But a backboard was shattered on a dunk with 9:52 left in the game, and the teams were forced to relocate to Kaimuki High School's gymnasium to finish the game.

Center Igor Beljanski scored 19 points and brought down 10 rebounds to lead the Silverswords, who led 38-28 at halftime.

CJ Cowgill also scored 19 points, and David Toya added 17 for Chaminade (10-8, 4-5 Pacific West Conference).
