Artwall shows
Mapuana work

The work of Hawaiian colorist Mapuana is featured at Aupuni Artwall at Native Books Kapalama.

A descendant of the Baldwin missionary family, Mapuana's work is inspired by her love of hula and the islands. She was an accomplished hula dancer who worked in the hotel industry for many years and started a successful wine import business.

The artwall, at 1244 N. King St., is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays through the end of the month. For more information, call 845-8949 or go online at www.mapuanagallery.com.
