Lucio A. Cosare, 89, of Kukuihaele, Hawaii, a retired laborer for Honokaa Sugar Plantation, died Sunday in North Hawaii Community Hospital. He was also a part-time taro farmer in Waipio Valley. He was born in the Philippines. He is survived by sons Lucio Jr., Henry N., Joseph J., Robert, Stanley, Wallace and Darrell; daughters Esther Battle, Violet Mateo, Mary Chun, Stella Jansen, Julie Lauro, Elizabeth Hernandez and Salley Nachor, more than 50 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
