Paddlers Go In Style

After the ILH boys' canoe races off Magic Island at Ala
Moana Beach yesterday, the Punahou girls' team -- who showed
up to support the boys -- put on nice, prom-style dresses over
their swim suits and went out to eat spaghetti.

Shina Fukuda, left, and Maya Otte, putting on the striped dress,
were the last two to slip on their glamor-wear. The paddlers
decided to dress up just for the fun of it and pose for a group
shot. Why spaghetti? They were carbo loading for their
turn at the ILH canoe races today.
