Benjamin S. Aliason, 74, of Las Vegas and formerly of Aiea/Makakilo, who retired from civil service, died Monday at home. He is survived by wife Jeanette; son Russell; daughter Rosalie; brother Peter; sisters Fely Sugui, Rose Sabala, Christina Boyd, Madeline Oliva, Leah Alporque, Linda Chow and Dolly Yokoi, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services on the mainland.

Clara T. Bacio, 85, of Makaweli, Kauai died last Wednesday at home. She was born in Hilo. She is survived by sons Peter and Raymond Kinores and Walter, Gary and Paul Bacio; daughters Lucille Ayala, Margaret Kinores, Joanne Quiocho and Donna Igaya; 26 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Bernabe Bolos, 71, of Kailua, a typographer and owner of Ad Type Inc., died Dec. 19. He was born in Kealakekua, Hawaii. He is survived by wife Josephine; sons Bruce and Brian; daughters Brenda Jenkins and Brigitte Rarangol; brothers Ben and Bernaldo; sisters Nieves Sagarang and Dolores Shimabuku, a granddaughter and two great-grandsons. Geronimo C. Cabrera, 77, of Honolulu, a retired dietary aide for St. Francis Medical Center, died Dec. 16 at home. He was born in the Philippines. Yash Y. Deguchi, 78, of Captain Cook, Hawaii died Saturday. He was born in Kealakekua, Hawaii. Edward C. Hammond, 76, of Vancouver, Wash., a supervisor for public schools, died Monday in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in New Jersey. He is survived by wife Lillian S.; son Terry; daughter Kathy Sleasman, and four grandchildren. Services at a later date.

Thomas R. Hines, 77, of Lihue, Kauai, superintendent in the recreational industry, died Thursday in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in California. Charles K. Kaliloa, 73, of Anahola, Kauai, an installer and repairman for Hawaiian Telephone Co., died Thursday in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He also served in the U.S. Army. He was born in Kapaia, Kauai.
