This nylon applique Santa flag sells for
$30 at Flags Flying.

Show your true
holiday colors
with a Santa flag

The neighbors' Christmas displays got you green or feeling inadequate in the decorating department?

Flags Flying can help you catch up quickly and easily.

Mary Phillips store at Ward Warehouse specializes in flags , banners, flag-themed clothes and accessories -- her motto is "bringing the world together under one roof" -- but the store also carries an array of holiday and seasonal banners bearing images of Santa, angels, menorah, peace doves and more. These range from $25 to $30. The hardware -- pole and brackets -- will cost you $30 more.

You could simplify the process with little tape. A couple of banners in the window, and you're good to go, and there's no daylong cleanup and storage problem in the holidays' aftermath.

Phillips says she gets many repeat customers who change their flags and banners with changing seasons and special occasions.

"They like the custom," she said. "They think it adds to the ambience of the neighborhood."

Unique to her boutique, Phillips has also created the Ka Hae Hawai'i (The Hawaiian Flag) collection of apparel and accessories inspired by the Hawaiian flag and incorporating five petroglyph designs.
