Molokai’s von Oelhoffen
helps Pittsburgh ‘nose’
past Baltimore

Molokai's Kimo von Oelhoffen had two solo tackles and one assist at nose tackle yesterday to help the Pittsburgh Steelers win their fifth game in a row, 9-6, at Baltimore.

Bullet Chris Fuamatu-Ma'afala (St. Louis School, University of Utah), the Steelers' No. 2 tailback and No. 2 fullback, did not play. He is recovering from a foot fracture he suffered last weekend.

Bullet A week after a career-high five-reception performance, Seattle tight end Itula Mili was relegated to backup status again.

He caught one pass for 12 yards in the Seahawks' 24-19 home field loss to Kansas City.

Mili started the first several games of the season in place of regular starter Christian Fauria, who has come back slowly. Yesterday Fauria started and had a big day with five catches for 50 yards and his first touchdown of the season.

Mili has three touchdowns.

Bullet Former University of Hawaii linebacker Jeff Ulbrich had an assisted tackle for San Francisco in the 49ers' 34-24 loss to the St. Louis Rams.

Bullet Former Leilehua High and University of West Virginia running back Adrian Murrell will be in a backup role behind Stephen Davis for the Washington Redskins as they play the Tennessee Titans in Monday Night Football.
