President Clinton will stop in Hawaii after leaving Washington, D.C., on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, to visit Brunei and Vietnam, the White House Press Office said today.

His tentative schedule includes a visit to Hawaii until Nov. 13, when he will leave for the 2000 Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Brunei, the press office said.

According to his present travel plans, he will leave Brunei Nov. 16 to spend three nights in Hanoi, Vietnam, then will overnight in Ho Chi Minh City before returning Nov. 20 to Washington.

He also has been considering adding a stop in North Korea.

Asked by reporters yesterday at the White House if he would travel to Pyongyang, he said, "We are working on it, and I haven't made a decision."
