H-1 lanes, ramps
close for repaving,
roadwork

Motorists face continuing detours and slowed traffic on the H-1 freeway and on access and exit ramps in the Punchbowl, Makiki and University areas.

Repaving and other roadwork tomorrow night will cause:

Bullet Total closure of eastbound lanes near the Kinau exit from midnight Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday. Drivers may re-enter the freeway at the Piikoi on-ramp.
Bullet Closure of Punahou westbound on-ramp after 9 p.m.
Bullet Closure of Ward eastbound on-ramp after 9 p.m.
Night work will continue Monday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. at the following locations:
Bullet Ward on-ramp will be closed.
Bullet Freeway lanes will be closed at University, Kalo, Manoa/Palolo and Kapiolani Interchange viaduct structures.
Bullet Lanes and shoulders will be blocked on Vineyard Boulevard, Ward Avenue, Kinau offramp and Lunalilo Street from the eastbound on-ramp to Magellan Street.

Daytime work from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday will lead to lane closures at several H-1 locations, including:

Bullet Westbound between Kapiolani Interchange and University.
Bullet Westbound between Wilder exit and Piikoi.
Bullet Eastbound near Bingham Street.
Bullet Near viaduct structures at University, Kalo, Manoa-Palolo and Kapiolani Interchange.

Waterline work will continue on Lunalilo Street, meaning the Lunalilo offramp will continue to be closed and Keeaumoku Street traffic will have no access to Lunalilo.

Bingham and Metcalf streets will be limited to local traffic.
