Adele G. Ahia, 91, of Waianae died Tuesday. She was born in Kona. She is survived by son Louis Sylva, daughters Geraldine Cortez-Baysa and Kehau N. Blythe, brother Thomas Gouveia, sisters Agnes Moreira and Leslie Cabrinha, 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Services: 12:15 p.m. Monday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Harry A.F. Akioka, 93, of Honolulu died Monday at home. He was born in Kailua-Kona. He is survived by wife Hilda J.; sons Harry, Roy, Homer, Hartwell, Haverly and Hallie; daughters Hilda Joyce Alexander, Happy Furtado and Henrietta Gail Sarong; 25 grandchildren; and 41 great-grandchildren. Doris "Dee" Atkinson, 97, of Volcano, Hawaii, died Monday in Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Wales. She is survived by daughter Alana McKinney, three granddaughters and six great-grandchildren. Services held. Donations suggested to Pacific Tsunami Museum Inc., 130 Kamehameha Ave., Hilo 96720.

Dr. Grover H. Batten, 83, of Honolulu, a retired surgeon, died Wednesday. He was born in Honolulu. He had been president of the Oahu unit of the American Cancer Society. He is survived by wife Eileen; daughters Eileen, Kay and Lynne; sister Anna Mitchell; and five grandchildren. Memorial services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew's Cathedral. Private inurnment. No flowers. Donations suggested to American Cancer Society and the Hawaii Medical Library.

Mauricio C. Fabro, 86, of Kapaa, Kauai, formerly of Eleele, Kauai, a laborer with Kauai Pineapple Co., died Thursday in Wilcox Memorial Hospital. He was born in Ilocos Sur, the Philippines. He is survived by wife Nina, son Mauricio "Bo" C. Jr., daughters Priscilla Banasihan and Maurina Borgatti, hanai son Melvin Damasco, 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Masako Kato, 89, of Wailuku, an independent housekeeper, died Thursday in Hale Makua. She was born in Waiehu, Maui. She is survived by son Douglas; daughters Dianne Taise and Suzanne Kameya; brother Tamotsu Kidani; sisters Rose and Fusano Okamura and Satsuki Miyamoto; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Bunji "Nori" Matsuoka, 79, of Kona, Hawaii, a retired coffee farmer, died yesterday in Kona Community Hospital. He was born in Kona, Hawaii. Thelma H. Scanlon, 73, of Honolulu, a retired salesclerk for JC Penney and F.W. Woolworth, died Thursday at home. She was born in Honolulu. King Po Young, 75, of Honolulu died yesterday in Kuakini Hospital. He was born in Canton, China. He is survived by wife Sau Ying; son George; daughters Bonnie Cheung, Nancy Loui, Cindy On and Kim Lee; sister Kwai Mui; and 10 grandchildren.
