Magazine targets
isle teens

A new magazine for and about Hawaii teen-agers, Hawaii Teens on the Go!, has made its bow this month. The premiere issue of the bimonthly mag features recording artist Hoku Ho on the cover and in an interview that discusses the hassles and lessons of growing up.

Also in the debut issue are articles on the Hypersquad dance troupe, surfing champion Dustin Cuizon of Ewa Beach, new developments in cell phones and accessories and how to avoid date rape. Regular features include columns on interpreting dreams, car work, teen health, embarrassing moments and fashions, plus makeovers for teens.

The magazine intends to spotlight island teens and their activities. "We'll be working closely with the schools, community organizations and the teens themselves," said Go! publisher Darrell Arii in a news release.

Hawaii Teens on the Go! is $3.95 at Oahu 7-Eleven stores and Town & Country Surf Shop.
