Men's formal wear preview

Men planning ahead for the holidays may want to head to Neiman Marcus tomorrow through Saturday. The store will feature fall and holiday looks during its Men's Formalwear Caravan.

The collection will feature everything from velvet dinner jackets to tuxedos and accessories from designers such as Brioni, Ermenegildo Zegna, Salvatore Ferragamo and more.

The show will be on view in the Men's Shop on the store's third level. Call 948-7464.

Healthy money management

St. Francis Healthcare Foundation of Hawaii will present two free "Wealth Preservation Seminars" this week to provide financial planning information and tips on taxes, real estate and insurance.

Seminars take place 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow at the Ala Moana Hotel Carnation Room, and 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the St. Francis Medical Center's Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Pavilion Conference Room.

Participants will learn how to produce additional lifetime income, earn tax deductions, reduce estate tax and avoid probate.

Seminar presenters include Stephen Reese, estate planning attorney; Peter Savio of Savio Realty, Ltd./Better Homes and Gardens; and Beth Carvin of First Hawaiian Bank's Trust and Investment Division.

Oldies bash

Blast into the past at the Goldies Oldies Dance Party IX Oct. 6 and 7 at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii.

Hawaii's All-Beatles band Rubber Soul will perform at the event, taking place 7 to 11 p.m. in the center's 5th floor Manoa Ballroom.
