Cougars come up
short against Menehunes

It was a homecoming to remember for Moanalua.

The Menehunes stopped scrambling Kaiser quarterback B.J. Bernard short on fourth down at the 20 yard line with just under five minutes left in the game to preserve a 23-20 Oahu Interscholastic Association White Division victory.

Moanalua started the game with nine straight rushing plays, capping off the drive with a Jeremy Kam 3-yard score.

Kam, playing both ways as a fullback and linebacker, broke his ankle in the second half.

Vaa Fonoti rushed for 162 yards and two scores and McKinley rolled up 305 yards on the ground.
