Sister Anna McAnany, 92

Lena A.K. Alderson, 82, of Olympia, Wash., and formerly of Honolulu, died May 6 in Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. She was born in Waihee, Maui. She is survived by daughter Fawn Hacker; brother William Teshima; sisters Cecily Moore, May Nakanelua, Lily Pearson and Edith Smith; and a grandson. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Friday at Epiphany Episcopal Church, 1041 10th Ave. in Kaimuki. Burial: National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, Punchbowl, at a later date. James K. Durant, 54, of Kihei, an electronics repairman, died Wednesday at home. He was born in Trenton, Mich. He is survived by mother Jeanne C. and sister Tracey Bidasha. Graveside services: 9 a.m. Wednesday at Maui Makawao Veterans Cemetery.

David G. Freymann, 66, of Moanalua, a retired U.S. Navy commander, died Tuesday in San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland, Calif. He was born in Dyersville, Iowa. He is survived by wife Maria D. Locsin; sons John, Mark and Joseph; daughter Anna; sister Jacqueline; and a granddaughter. Mass of Christian burial: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Bruce I. "Sam" Kennison, 49, of Kona, Hawaii, a former hotel security for the Royal Kona Resort, died Wednesday in Kona Community Hospital. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. Pershing S.W. "Persh" Mizuta Jr., 36, of Waianae died Monday at home. He was born in Honolulu. He is survived by father Pershing "Mizut" S.W. Sr.; stepmother Anne; daughter Brandie K. Kameko Nakamatsu, 85, of Honolulu, retired from the California Packers Corp., died Aug. 1 in Hale Nani Rehabilitation and Nursing Facility. She was born in Lawai, Kauai.
