Takuji Ageno, 70, of Wailuku, a journeyman welder at Maui Land and Pineapple Co., died July 26 at home. He was born in Sprecklesville, Maui. He is survived by wife Alice M.; sons William K. and Kevin T.; brother Takuzo; sister Nancy N. Tanaka, and stepmother Kumiko. Private services.

Margaret Anduha Almodova, also known as "Mama or Grandma," 99, died Sunday. She was born in Puerto Rico. She is survived by daughters Lydia Troche, Sophie Ke-a, Isabel Carvalho and Margaret Du Pont; sons Louis Jr., Frank, Henry, August, Daniel, Ben and David; 38 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren and 31 great-great-grandchildren. Mass: 11 a.m. tomorrow at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo on Kauai. Call after 9 a.m. Burial to follow.

Vanessa L. Aquino, infant daughter of Charlotte Aquino, died June 2 in Kapiolani Hospital. She is also survived by grandfather Andrew; grandmother Eva Kaalaiwaa, and great-grandparents Sergio Maxilom and Earl Oliphant. Graveside services: noon Thursday at Hawaiian Memorial Park. Casual attire.

Blanche C. "Sally" Buckley, 96, of Honolulu died Tuesday in Honolulu. She was born in New York. She is survived by sons Jim Ambrosia and Ronald Coe; daughters Jean Monday and Joan Otte, 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Private services.

Ernest Camara, 79, of Ewa Beach, who retired from the Honolulu Board of Water Supply, died Tuesday in St. Francis Hospital. He was born in Paia, Maui. He is survived by wife Barbara; daughters Madge Babcock, Gwen Glazebrook, Geri Sandberg and Alice Camara; sisters Evelyn Catron, Rose Wallace, Minnie Dos Santos, Angie Parlati and Irene Baptist; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Simon A. Carvalho, 32, of Hanamaulu, Kauai, a commercial fisherman, died Wednesday in Wilcox Hospital. He was born in Lihue. James E. Johnson, 81, of Kaneohe, a retired colonel in the U.S. Marine Corps, died July 27 at home. He was born in St. Louis. Mathilda P. "Mattie" Lyman, also known as Mrs. Daniel K. Lyman, 80, of Honolulu, who retired from Lt. Col. Horrace Meek Hickam Elementary School, Department of Education, died Tuesday. Jacqueline "Jackie" L.B. Paxman, 55, of Hawaii died July 12. She was born in Oakland, Calif. Sally May Rogers, 76, of Hilo died Sunday in Life Care Center of Hilo. She was born in Buffalo, N.Y. She is survived by husband Clem H.; son Louis; daughters Teresa Yugawa and Susan Sevigny; sister Ann Madsen; lifelong friend Dorothy Stewart and eight grandchildren.
